  1. Long ago there was a landlord in Kilcarty and his name was Mr Amelia. He lived in Dublin. He was fairly good to the people. He did not evict them when they were not able to pay their rent.
    When he died another landlord came in his place. His name was Mr Hewetson. He was a very fair landlord. He did not evict the people because he said it was not fair. He lived in Dublin and used not come very often to the people. His ancestors came from Dublin also.
