  1. Once upon a time a woman was going across a plank. It was dark. She was a nervous woman and she was afraid that if she did not praise God she would fall into the river. She began to praise God saying, "God is good." Then she thought of the devil, that he would make her fall into the river. She began to praise the devil saying "God is good and the devil is not too bad either." She kept saying this and she got across the plank safely.
