  1. It is always said that between Pike Corner and Scurlogstown that there was a coach heard which is called the death coach. Edward Geraghty told me that one dark night when his father was coming home from Trim heard this coach coming quickly behind him. He was on a horse and trap, and he pulled the horse into the ditch to let the coach pass.
    When he stopped, there was nothing behind him so he went on again and he drove the horse as quickly as he could. The faster he went the faster the coach followed him.
