  1. The local fairs are held in the village of Summerhill, Co. Meath. They are always held on the street. There is a fairgreen in Summerhill which was used formerly but is not now used.
    Toll is not paid on cattle nowadays. When cattle are sold "luck money" is given to the buyer.
    The person who sells the beast gives back some of the money to the buyer of the beast. This is called "Luck penny."
    The animal is then marked either by clipping a bit of hair from the side or by marking
