  1. Long ago people went bare-footed until they were about twenty years of age.
    A certain man named Dick Browne who lived in Clondoogan near Summerhill never wore boots.
    Some children go bare-footed in Summer at present.
    Boots are repaired locally by John Fulham. His father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all cobblers.
    In former times the old people always wore clogs. Some people still wear them in this locality.
