  1. Holy Wells.
    There is a holy well in Warrenstown in the parish of Culmullen. It is believed that while St. John was baptising on the banks of the Jordan he lost his staff. It came up our of the ground beside this well. Ever since it is known as St. John's Well.
    People make pilgrimages to it between the twenty fourth and twenty ninth of June because at midnight on the
