    2. If red coal sticks to the kettle it is the sign of bad Luck.
    3. When birds fly into a house it is the sign of a death.
    4. When starlings fly round a house it is the sign of a death in that house.
    5. If a knife falls on its blade it is the sign of bad luck. If it falls on the handle there is a gentleman coming.
    6. If a fork falls there is a woman coming.
    7. If your right eat gets hot there is someone talking well about you. If you left ear gets hot there is someone talking bad about you. Left or right is good at night.
    8. If a person spills salt at a table he won't have luck for the rest of the day.
    9. If a hare crosses the road in front of you when going to the fair you will have bad luck for
