    A gentleman named Butler an uncle of the late owner lived at Priestown.

    A gentleman named Butler an uncle of the late owner lived at Priestown In his early time Catholics who were working for him had to work on holidays of obligation.
    This day his man was plouging in a field along the road when the priest was coming to Kilbride to say mass he stopped and asked the man was he not coming to mass and he said he would not be allowed. The Priest that day after mass the priest called on Mr Butler and asked would he allow his men to go to mass
