  1. The late Mr. Willie Carrol was coming from Mr. Gibsons where he worked Allen Wood Lucan. He was passing by the field next to which our house is built looking over the fence he saw a small person dressed in red with a green pointed hat on him.
    He mistook him for a boy and said hello to him. When he looked again the little man had disappeared.
    He proceeded on his way and when he related the story, some of the older inhabitants were able to relate similar stories of having seeing him under the same conditions. This story has been told to me by Mr. Hanely whom the late Mr. Willie Carrol told it to.
