  1. The 1916 Dunboyne Volunteers were all very good living Catholic and some of them good Gaelic speakers. They were joined at Tyrellstown camp by the Dundalk I.R.A. who were good Gaelic speakers. Every night in camp the Rosary was recited in Irish.
