  1. Once upon a time there lived a blacksmith named Willie O'Brien.
    One night he was coming home when he met the devil.
    Willie did not know it was the devil but he was frightened all the same.
    The devil kept company with Willie up the road and talked to him pleasantly, Willie soon forgot his fear and thouhgt the devil a rather nice "gentleman".
    He liked him even better when the devil said, "Willie my boy, I'll make you the rishest man in the world".
    "Indeed". said Willie, who was now thoroughly excited at the prospect of becoming the richest man in the world.
    "I'll give you a shilling", he said, as Willies face fell.
