  1. William Moore who was born near Trim was a coachman for Mr Anthony Allen in his early life. He came to Rathangan and became a coachman for Rev, Davis of the Rectory.
    He was an enlightened man for horses and cattle and he would go around to the people treating their horses and cattle. He was very much esteemed by the people both near and far. He was the only person that was seen around Batterstown with a tricycle.
    Himself and his wife are buried in Rathregan graveyard.
