Sweeney's lane is the name given to an old lane or path leading from the Drumree road to the Naran road. The land is now owned by a Mr. Delany, Dunshaughlin. It was formerly owned by a man named Sweeney that is how it got its name. In one of the fields are the ruins of a house and some fruit trees in a small garden at the back. This is pointed out as the sits of Sweeney's house.

The old road is the name given to a lane leading from the Drumree road to the farm of Johnstown now owned by Mr. Delany. It can be traced across three fields along by a hedge until it reaches Johnstown farm. It was used before the Present road from Drumree to Dunshaughlin was constructed. The remains of some dwellings may be traced along it still.
