  1. We plant a quarter of an acre each year. The amount never varys. My father prepairs the ground. The ground is manured from the year before, and sometimes they put artificial in it. The potatoes are planted in ridges in the gardens and drills in the fields. A spade is used in the gardens, and a plough is used in the fields.
Mr Mc Keever used a wooden plough and harrow. He is dead now but my father does not know how long he is dead.
