  1. This is a story I have heard from Mrs Fitzpatrick re this epitaph.
    Some man was one day making through the churchyard of Kilearne.
    There happened to be a disintered skull on his path.
    Thoughtlessly he pushed it aside with his boot.
    The skull addressed him in the words of this remarkable epitaph.
    Glory be to God on High
    IHS
    Remember Man
    As you pass by
    As you are now so once was I
    As I am now you all will be
    Remember Man and pray for me.
