    Jemmena - Ban - The family was never referred to otherwise than the Bans - Proper name - Mc Mahon. Applied to man in the district - It was supposed to be applied on account of the man's fair complexion but on tracing the matter I discovered that his father first came into the country as a child, carried on his mother's back
