Friesiouns are hens with all their feathers facing up towards their heads. - Other birds that stay all winter are the Crow, the linnet, the salley-picker, the Owl, the curlew, the snipe, the kingfisher, the rain bird (or golden wren), the ball cruet, the heron, the dipper, the sedge-warbler, the greenfinch, the sparrow, hawk, the Treecreeper.The Crow builds on a tree with no brambles on the bottom. It builds with sprigs and leaves and lines it with wool. It lays three eggs of a blueish colour. It hatches for one month. |
