    There are two graveyards in this parish Stamullen and Moorchurch.

    There are two graveyards in this parish, Stamullen and Moorchurch. They are still in use. They are both circular in shape and there are ruins of Churches in both graveyards. The people are buried facing the east. There are people buried in the ruins. The following inscription is on an old tombstone in the ruins of Stamullen graveyard.
    "Here lieth the body of James Makings who departed this life the 16th day of April 1722. Aged 66 years. Also the body of Cathrina Makings.
    Alias Eliet his wife who departed life in the year 1733. Aged 48 years.
