  1. 1. Pile-wort if boiled in a quart of water and boiled down to a pint and taken three times daily (a wine glass full at a time is sufficient) is a cure for piles.
    2. Comfrey root boiled is a cure for swollen feet.
    3. Philaria is best for a cold when boiled with lemon, liquorice, and sugar candy.
    4. Groundsel and oat meal boiled together make a good cure for
    5. Lusnaliag, or ground ivy if boiled and taken is very good for colds.
    6. Cure for a heartburn: Chew the skin of a young ash sapling.
    7. For a wart: Pour the milk of a dandelion on the wart.
    8. For a cough: Boil a white turnip to a pulp, strain.
    9. Buglass boiled with oaten meal makes an excellent cure for sores.
    10. March Marrows made good stupes for sprains.
    11. Mullah plant boiled with milk cured Consumption.
    12. Dandelion and brooklime and March Marrows cures colds.
    13. Nettles and Indian meal made into gruel
