  1. About half a mile from Cooper Hill on the road leading from Dardistown to Julianstown the ruins of an old mill stands on the south bank of the river Nanny. The mill was used in the manufacture of flour and it is said that the flour manufactured in this mill took first prize for quality. The mill was owned by Mr Mc Donald who afterwards gave it to Mr Osborne who turned it to the making of tobacco.
