  1. There is a field which lies convenient to the Mooretown and it is called The Glen as it is sloped with a large hill. Near this hill there is a crock of gold which was hidden by the Danes. When the Danes buried this money one of them swore to guard it in life and death and after sometime they buried the guardian with the gold.
    There was a house situated on this field which was owned by Dowling's. One morning when Miss Dowling went out to milk her
