  1. Tir-Ree is one of the highest hills in County Meath, over looking the east coast, and about two miles distant from Clonalvey. It is said that about 300 years ago a great King, supposed to be named King Charles, lived there for some time. The name itself suggests the presence of a great King. -Tír -Righ or Tigh - Rig
    All around this hill there are several moats. Now those moats, - they had their own use. The King's men used them
