  1. Long ago some well-to-do people around here had the name of not being kind to poor travellers, and all these poor wayfarers knew well where they might expect a kind work and food and shelter for a night or two.
    There were four hospitable houses in this locality.
    As the old rhyme goes ;-
    "Farrells of the Hill and Farrells of the Hollow.
    Caseys of Croboy and Meehans of the Manor".
    (The descendants of the Farrells and Caseys still live in the old homes).
