  1. (continued from previous page)
At one time it was lifted and brought up to Slane Castle.
The next morning they found it where it was the first time, and when they saw it they put it up on a horse and cart.
When they had it on the cart it fell through the cart down on the ground, and it is there to this very day.
The Twelve Apostles was engraved on it.

    From Mrs. Brennan Seneschalstown.
Mrs Brennan (who supplied a large amount of the information in this book) is a labourers wife and is a daughter of a very learned and "knowledgeable" man Pat Collins, who thought here in Yellow Furze from 1876 for 24 years or so. He was unfortunately, dead before we began our collecting but his daughter is a very good substitute. She is now a middle-aged woman.
