  1. The following rhyme has always been recited and referred to in this locality when a marriage is being arranged:-
    'Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for losses
    Friday for Crosses
And Saturday no luck at all'
    Tuesday
It is thought that if one stands for a child on Tuesday that either the child or the sponsor will die before long.
    Friday
