  1. Annesbrook There is an old stone cross opposite Annesbrook Gate. It was erected by Gennet Dowdall in momery of her late husband. The inscription reads as follows:- The lines on the cross corresponding with the lines below:-
    The cross was bvild
    ed bi Jennet Baithe
    of Athcarne ivstice for him
    and for herself in the year
    of ouve lorde god 1,600 which
    ivstice deceaced the xxv
    October 1599 and bvired
    in the chvrch of Duleek
    whose sovles I praye God
    take to his mercie Amen
