    strange man came to the door and asked for lodgings. The man of the house brought him in and gave him some supper.
    When he had finished they played cards. One of the cards fell to the ground. The man stooped to pick it up and saw that the stranger had hooves instead of feet. He vowed he would not play anymore. Then the man went off in a ball of fire.
