  1. Platten Hall. (Parish of Duleek , near Drogheda).
In the blooming Spring when warblers sing,
    To hail the mornings dawn,
I found myself enraphsured, in a space - ashady lawn,
A building bright appeared in sight,
    with spaces from the grove,
Thinks I, is this a mansion that was laid down from above.
For hours two, I stood to view the whitest new-carved stone,
The windows glanced like fire as the sun did on them shone,
That grand front space with skill and taste,
    By first class tradesmen all.
It was then I found, stood on that ground
    Was matchless Platten Hall.
