  3. A Stye on the Eye
    A stye on the eye can be cured by gooseberry thorns. Get 10 gooseberry thorns and make the sign of the Cross on the eye with nine of them and throw the tenth one across the right shoulder.
    This must be done for 3 mornings in succession, and the person who does it must have both his parents living.

  4. Sore Mouth
    A posthumous child is said to have the cure of a sore mouth. He must blow his breath 3 times into the mouth of the affected. This is done on 3 mornings in succession, and both must be fasting.
