  1. In the year 1902 there was a bad thunder storm and serious damage was done in many places.
    In our district a rick of straw belonging to Mr. McConnell of Sheephouse was struck by lightning and burnt to ashes.
    The same day there was a funeral coming down Pass Hill and one of the horses in the hearse was struck by lightning. There was a man counting his stock on the hill of Tullyallen and he was killed by lightning.
