  1. O my God, here I lie on my right side,
I pray to God to be my guide,
And if I die before I wake,
To God I give my soul to take.
There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angels round it spread,
Sts. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
Bless the bed that I lie on.
O my God, clothe my soul with the nuptial robe of charity, and grant that I may wear it pure, and undefiled before thy judgement seat.
When people put out the light at night they used to say-
"God grant us the light and the glory of the Kingdom of Heaven".
