    If a cat sits with his back to the fire it is the sign of a storm.
    If the smoke from a chimney is blown downward to the road it is a sign of rain.
    If the curlew is heard crying it is a sign of rain.
    If the cuckoo is heard in Spring it is a sign of a good Summer.
    If a new moon comes out lying on its back it is the sign of windy weather.
    If the sun is seen shining early in the morning it is a sign of rain.
