  1. Sore Throat. Gargle it with Epsom Salts another cure is to roast salt on a fire shovel and place it in a stocking and then place it on the person's neck as hot as he could bear it.
    Worts. Put the milk of the Dandelion on them, another cure for worts was to tie a thread round to wort and when the thread rotted the wort fell off.
    If a person had a cold hot buttermilk with plenty of sugar was a perfect cure.
    The cure for septic fingers was to poultice them with linseed meal and after some time it would burst and the badness would come out.
    An old cure for a stone-bruise was to bathe it in the water potatoes were boiled in.
