A man named Mc Gennis owned a mill at Belpatrick Collon, where Meades now reside and another owned by Mc Givney Collon. Patrick French Smarmore Ardee made dressers and gates. A linen mill worked in the "Bleach" Collon, and in olden times the Nursey was know as the most noted nursery in the British Isles
