at night and took a pony out of the yard. Theyd brought him home and hid him in an unoccupied house for a few days. Then they took the shoes off him and tied them to his tail. Next they took an old can and tied it round his neck. When this was complete they set him on the road for home.

He bought a nice farm of land and immediately set about making new fences, when the cattle got into the field the first thing they started to do was thumping down the new sods.
