    The birds seen around this district are, the robin, the wren, the blackbird, the thrush, the stair, the pigeon, the crow, the magpie, the snipe, the woodcock, the pheasant, the patridge, the oul, the curlew, the plover, the joy, the hawk, and the linnet,

    back door, the pigeon builds it's nest on the top of an ivy covered tree, the snipe, and the lark in the ground, the owl in a hollow of a tree, the crane builds it's nest, in a sally tree, and leaves two holes in the bottom of it to let out his feet.
    The cuckoo builds, no nest, but lays it's eggs in the nest in the meadow, the waterhen, and the wild duck, in the banks of the river
    The call of the cuckoo denotes rain, the swallows flying low denotes bad weather, when there is a storm in Scotland, the wild geese come over to Ireland, and when the seagulls come into land there's a storm on sea.
