  1. Long ago there was an old road passing through Ballymakenny. Then it crossed the fields and came out at the back of Piperstown House. The paving stones were found there where the road passed through. Then it went towards Drumshallon and it passed there then it went across the fields and it came on the road below Kellystown. Part of the lane that is leading to Drumshallon is paved.
