  1. There was a ford on the river Glyde at Aclint where Own Roe O'Neill met the Earl of Essex. (Not as commonly supposed by some at Essexford, where there is no river at all.).
    There is a ford at Ballyregan near Rocktate (Co Louth) called, Ceis-a-var.
    Ford on the River Glyde at Tully and near it St Patrick is said to have jumped across the river leaving the imprint of his foot on the bank where he "landed".
    Ford also at Coolrath, near Mills of Louth.

  2. Old graveyards supposed to be in Stonetown Lower (in Kelly's land) field - still called the graveyard field. Bones turned up there a few years ago.
    In Toomes - scene of a great battle 2000 years ago. (Nearby two urns were unearthed by Mr Morris in Aug. 1926.
    At Channonrock near the disused mill race. In Tully on B. Matthews' land. There's a field here
