    You may travel that fine thorough fare
    From Reaghstown to Meath Hill
    You will see by your way perhaps
    Each field and tree and mill
    But if observant you may be
    And watched each ditch and drain
    Unless you have a microscope you'll not see Colga lane

    And begging Séan the ramblers pardon

    A donkey roamed down there one day
    And later it was found
    He couldn't turn back for he couldn't turn round
    And when the Dublin powers were asked to get him out again
    They sent a corkscrew down to the boys of Colga lane
