  2. Some year ago Brian Keenan from Ardee was known to be the best long jumper in this country. He jumper 23 feet at some meeting in Navan in the year 1918.
    Peter Murray of Crowmartin was a great quick walker. He often walked some great distances.
    William Carolan was a great runner, he often won races, he could run three miles in twenty minutes.
