    14. A "too near" Mourne Mountain range is an indication of broken weather and the same is prophesied if the mountains are obscured with fog.
    15. Smoke ascending perpendiculary is a sign of favourable weather conditions for some time.
    16. Rain on St. Swithin's means rain on forty consecutive days after.
    17. If the sun "rises early" in the morning there will in all probability be rain before night.
    18. Many local people are able to say with certainty when rain is apporaching due to the fact that pains in certain parts of their body give them warning of its coming.
    19. It is said that if the majority of crows' nests are built on high trees there is not likely to be any wind storms durning the nesting period and vice versa.
