  1. Saint Mochta is the Patron Saint of Louth. He came to Louth with Saint Patrick when Saint Patrick was on his mission. Saint Patrick had a chapel and an hospital for lepers in and Patrick about a half a mile from where Saint Mochta built a monastery. In the Monastery field there is a wee house and it is called Saint Mochtas House. There is a stone roof on it and there are two rooms in it, there is one room upstairs and one room downstairs. There is a stone stairs in it. The floor of the upper room is a stone floor. There is a board inside the wee house and there is an inscription on it in Irish and in English and this is it.
