  1. The most famous thatcher in this district is Owen Dooley from Ballykelly. Christopher Farrell and John Carroll were also good thatchers. John Carroll was a weight thrower. There was a school master who taught in Louth boys school named Daniel Scott. He lived in Dromiskin. He used to walk from Dromiskin to Louth School and back home again in the evening. He was a very famous walker.
