  1. The saint who is connected with this district is St. Fursey. There is a chapel in use now. there is an old ruin in Haggardstown graveyard. The Hibernian Hall took the name from St. Fursey and the people have a guild in the chapel called after him. He had monastery in Haddardstown. When died he was buried in Belgium. I never heard of and Holy well or prayers about him.
