  1. This is a subject in which everybody is interested. When people meet on the road, at the fair, at the market, or whatever the matter may be, the principal subject of conversation is always the weather.
    The following are some of the local beliefs with regard to the weather :-
    "A rainbow in the morning is the shepherds warning, a rainbow at nigh is the sailor's delight." A green Christmas means a full graveyard."As the day lengthens the cold strengthens." All the months of the year curse the fair February."When the seagulls come inland after the plough it is a sign of bad weather.
    The following are some of the local beliefs with regard to the weather by signs in the sky :-
