    This is the story of old Galway. It was told to me by my grandfather.

    own son. This boy was in love with a maid. There was also a Spaniard in love with her too. Young Lynch was jealous of his rival and never lost a chance of doing him harm. One evening the Spaniard was rowing a boat around Lough Corrib, when Lynch came and capsized the boat thus drowning the Spaniard.
    For this reason he was hung by his own father.
