  1. Historians are always deeply interested in old graveyards.
    Seatown graveyard which is situated in the centre of Dundalk was in use about thirty years ago.Unlike other graveyards of that time it was devoid of a church.It was interesting to note that Captain Kelly in whose memory stands a memorial opposite St.Patricks Cathedral, is interred there.There are stone tombstones that date back as far as the eighteenth century still standing there.
    St.Nicholas' graveyard is also centrally situated.In Penal days it was confiscated as also was the church which is in it.To the present day it is used by the Protestants.Although it has been in the possesion
