  1. Long ago there were landlords in Omeath. Omeath was divided among them. Mr Woodhouse, Mr Campbell, and Mr Ryan were some of the landlords. They were good landlords. Mr Ryan owned the Townlands of Ardaghy, Lislea and Tulla.
    The people held meetings to get their rents reduced. The rents were very high. The Land League meetings were held in Mr. James Kane's house in Ardaghy which was the chief centre. This meeting was held almost every Sunday. Almost every householder whose rent was high attended this meeting.
