  1. Toothache:
    Put a hot potato to the cheek or fill the mouth with cold water.
    For whooping cough:
    Drink asses milk. This is good for delicate children, or visit the house of two people married in the same name.
    Boils:
    Rub a snail on them.
    For a cough:
    Drink boiled buttermilk and sugar on it or blackberry drinks.
    Sore eyes:
    Bathe them in hot water or boiled water cress or bathe them in water.
    Sore throat:
    Tie a woollen stocking round it.
