    Warts:
    A cure for warts is to dip the warts nine time in water which is lying on a stone, but the person must come upon the stone unexpectedly.
    Whooping cough:
    Dip a hot iron in Stockholm tar and breathe the smoke.
    A sheep with powerless legs:
    Place the sheep under a briar with both ends in the ground.
    Sore wrist:
    The skin of an eel tied tightly round a sore wrist will cure it.
    A cold:
    Take a drink of hot butter-milk with sugar on it.
